North American Renewables Registry Adds Important New Features
Hoboken, NJ - September, 2010 - As the renewable energy markets in the United States continue to evolve, we are responding by adding new features to the North American Renewables Registry. The most recent enhancements include:
- Functionality to track Missouri Renewable Energy Standard (RES) eligibility for renewable energy facilities registered in NAR. This enhancement is part of the implementation of NAR as the renewable energy certificate (REC) management system for Missouri RES compliance.
- A website specific to using NAR for Missouri RES compliance has been launched and can be found at: www.missourirecs.com
- NAR also tracks renewable energy facilities approved for the North Carolina Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard (REPS), and specifically if they qualify for REPS carve-outs for fuel types such as swine waste and poultry waste.
- Inter-registry transfers have been enabled in NAR. Today RECs can be exported from NAR to the North Carolina Renewable Energy Tracking System (NC RETS) and RECs can be imported to NAR from the Midwest Renewable Energy Tracking System (M-RETS) and NC RETS
- Full integration with the APX Environmental Management Account service.
The North American Renewables Registry provides an easy-to-use, Web-based platform trusted to create, track, and manage renewable energy certificate (REC) origination for multiple renewable portfolio standards and voluntary programs.
